WOW!!!! Matthew Vaughn Reveals Pics of Magneto and Professor X in ‘X-Men: First Class’

I love it when filmmakers reach out to the blogging community for whatever reason. One of the most famous examples is when Sly Stallone recently did a great job interacting with Ain’t It Cool News‘ readers while filming Rocky Balboa.

The latest case of this type of interaction is X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn speaking with Peter Sciretta over at Slashfilm.

Apparently the image that was leaked online yesterday not only disappointed us, it pissed him off. Like really, really off. So much so that he called up Peter and gave him the most clear, concise (and I have to agree with Peter on this), the most inspiring images of the main characters in his upcoming highly anticipated film.

“I freaked out on them yesterday. I don’t know where the hell that came from. I don’t think it’s a Fox image. It’s not a pre-approved image. When I found out, I said, what the fuck is this shit, and Fox is running around trying to figure out what happened as well. I agree. It’s like a bad photoshop, which maybe it was by someone. It didn’t reflect the movie. I was shocked when I saw it. I was like ‘Jesus Christ’…

Vaughn goes on to assure fans that he has the best intention:

“I’m a fan of X-Men. We’re not bastardizing X-Men, I’m trying to get them back to being whole again.

Usually, at this point, I read a bunch of sites and gather information and do a post.

Not this time, this one is Slashfilm’s all the way. So I fully encourage you head on over there and read the article because there is a ton more great information on where they are taking the film.

However before you go, Ladies and Gentleman, Magneto:
