The first trailer for the upcoming Kenneth Branagh directed comic-book film adaptation of Thor was great.  I actually expected nothing less with a Shakespearian expert such as Branagh helming it and Anthony Hopkins playing Thor’s father.

The only concern I had was around the action. Was there going to be enough to satisfy the comic-book nerd in me or are we about to get served another case of emo -Hulk a la John Woo.

Well this trailer puts to rest any concern.

The action sequences look very promising. I had heard that they story part of it was actually quite well done and this trailer seems to back that up.  Oh and there is a lot more Natalie Portman this time around, so that’s always good.
