Seriously Dope Red Band Trailer for ‘Drive’ with Ryan Gosling

By in Film, Trailers on July 27, 2011

There has been a lot of buzz for Drive starring Ryan Gosling. Having picked up the Best Director Prize at Cannes put it on a lot of people’s radar without most, including me, not knowing anything about it.

The first trailer recently dropped and I now fully understand and have bought into the hype. If this movie is half as good as this trailer, then we have ourselves a pretty kick-ass film experience.

Here is the thing…

Apparently the movie is 4 times better than the trailer.

Gosling looks incredible in this role and I am glad that he is making the right choices in his career. He has come a long way from Remember The Titans and after seeing this trailer, I am glad that he has.

I am ALL the way in.

Here is the synopsis:

A Hollywood stunt driver (played by Ryan Gosling) who usually keeps to himself and moonlights as a wheelman discovers that a contract has been put on him by a local mob boss after a heist that goes wrong.

Drive is directed by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, of the Pusher trilogy, Bronson and Valhalla Rising previously. The screenplay was written by Hossein Amini (The Four Feathers, Killshot, 47 Ronin), adapted from James Sallis‘ novel. This first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, where Refn went on to win Best Director. FilmDistrict will be releasing Drive in theaters everywhere on September 30th this fall.
