The writers of The Hangover should really stop writing movies. I just get the sense they don’t really know what they are doing and are milking their own big hit for all its worth. I can’t really blame them, however us moviegoers end up being saddled with the crap they output so it is a bit of a problem.

Case in point, Flypaper starring Patrick Dempsey, Ashley Judd and Mekhi Pipher. I really like Patrick Dempsey as an actor. He did a great job in Made of Honor, was one of the few reasons to watch Transformers 3 and in spite of his McDreamy status, I will watch movies with him in it because there is a certain watchable quality that dates back to his Can’t Buy Me Love days.

The problem is that Dempsey seems to be stuck in a  movie that wants to be a good heist movie, has the potential to be a good heist movie, it just doesn’t look like a good heist movie. There are parts that really make me cringe but they are tempered with some really good moments in here as well.

It also could be that the trailer is really bad, however that is never a good sign as the trailers are usually way better than the movies.
