For anyone who had any doubts that Sam Mendes was going to have any issue directing the next James Bond movie Skyfall, they can know lay those doubts to rest. The third in the series starring Daniel Craig just released the first teaser trailer after dropping a teaser poster recently. While the poster did a good job of letting us know that visually, the character is in tact, this new teaser trailer has solidified that we are definitely getting the gritty, action-packed, intense Bond that was re-introduced to us with Casino Royale.

Scheduled for domestic release November 9 (and European release October 26) the film also features Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Berenice Malohe and Naomie Harris. 

To say that I am anticipating this film is one of the hugest understatements one can make. While we haven’t seen much, I am all the way in with this one. Mendes has illustrated to us that he seems to have what it takes to handle the Bond legacy and I for can’t wait to see what he does.

(UPDATE) – Check out the Super Trailer that Sony released at the same time as the teaser. It is basically the teaser trailer above with the trailer for the Playstation game 007 Legends. I have to admit that the game does look pretty badass and being a long-time James Bond fan who grew up with the iconic character as a major part of my pop-culture, I am pretty eager to play it.
