Check Out the First TV Spot For The Total Recall Reboot Starring Colin Farrell

Before Men In Black III, the trailer for the Len Wiseman roboot of Total Recall starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsdale, Jessica Biel and Bryan Cranston played in 3D. Against every fibre of my being that hates 3D and prefers IMAX, I have to admit that it looked pretty great. There has to be something in the water over at Sony because not only was the 3D great in that, MIB3‘s 3D was flawless and The Amazing Spiderman had some of the most inventive uses of 3D that was shown when that trailer played as well before MIB3.

Obviously The Amazing Spiderman is a must-see and The Dark Knight Rises is going to truly dominate the conversation for a big chunk of the summer, however I think it would be a big mistake to leave Total Recall out of the conversation of must-see movies this summer. I think we have something that is going to be very fun to watch and quite frankly surprise a lot of folks (including me).

The first TV spot dropped and there is nothing new really. It is a great glimpse into the movie if you haven’t been keeping up with the trailer and poster that dropped earlier this year.

Check it out and I’ll see you opening weekend.

About the Film
Len Wiseman (Underworld, Live Free or Die Hard), is directing this Total Recall remake from a script by James Vanderbilt, Kurt Wimmer & Mark Bomback that is said to be more true to Philip K. Dick’s original short story We Can Remember It For You Wholesale. The new story involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn’t know for which side. Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel and John Cho also star in the film which is headed to theaters on August 3rd, 2012 towards the end of summer. Thoughts?
