International Trailer for Django Unchained With New Footage
Whenever Quentin Tarantino does something…anything, attention must be paid. He has reached a level of filmmaking that is not only fresh in this staid, overplayed Age of the Remake, his skill level ranks him as one of the best there is.
His latest Django Unchained looks to continue his streak of fantastical, properly made films. Starring Jamie Foxx in the title character, the cast is stacked and rounded out with Leonardo DiCaprio, Christopher Waltz and Kerry Washington.
The first trailer is the international trailer that just dropped today and the second trailer is the one dropped last week and slipped through the cracks with our Worldwide Shorts Film Festival Coverage.
The plot deals with a slave named Django (Foxx) who gets paired up with a German dentist-turned-bounty hunter named Dr. King Schultz (Waltz) to find the murderous Brittle Brothers because Django is the only man that knows what they look like. Then in typical Tarantino style, the film really gets going.
The film opens December 25th because Tarantino screams Holiday Fare?
About the Film
Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award®-winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award®-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles – dead or alive.
Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the South’s most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago.
