Recently it was announced that we would be getting a sequel to the cult classic Anchorman : The Legend of Ron Burgundy and then it was followed up with a poster and a teaser trailer featuring all of the guys doing their thing. The one thing that was missing was news on whether Christina Applegate would be involved.

If you have never seen Anchorman (and really what is wrong with you?) the name Veronica Corningstone is not one you are familiar with. For the uninitiated, Veronica is the character Applegate played that gave Will Ferrel‘s Ron Burgundy a run for his money and really was one of the main reasons the movie worked so well.

Well, recently it was confirmed by Applegate’s people that she will indeed be involved with the film.

Yeah…this is going to be fricken awesome.
