Sorkin’s “The Newsroom” Gets Picked Up For Second Season
This is why I like HBO… they don’t mess around.
After only two episodes, (the first one garnering 2.1 million viewers), Aaron Sorkin‘s new show The Newsroom has been picked up for a second season. This is fantastic news as I am really enjoying what I have seen so far. The second episode was better for me than the premiere (outside of the first ten minutes of course) and I have hopes that the series will just get better.

About the Show
The Newsroom, an hour-long chronicle of a cable news show in transition, stars Jeff Daniels as the show’s acerbic host and Emily Mortimer as his former girlfriend and current lead producer. Creator Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing) uses actual news events of the recent past, such as the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill, as fodder for Newsroom’s show-within-a-show, News Night.
