Check Out This Awesome And Extremely Red-Band Punisher Short With Thomas Jane & Ron Pearlman

The Punisher comic books were a personal favourite of mine. So when the movies were made, I was very disappointed. Thomas Jane was ok enough, however the character on the big screen was nowhere near as badass as the character I grew up with in the comics. A lot of the characteristics were missing and let’s face it, the violence that defined the legend of the Punisher was diluted to a very craptastic level.

Seems like Jane agrees as he just dropped this ridiculously bad-ass short called Dirty Laundry featuring Frank Castle as the man / vigilante that we know and love. Also starring Ron Pearlman, the short Castle just going about his business as a bunch of evil guys do some pretty evil things.

Until he can’t take anymore.

Jane, made the film himself with artist Tim Bradstreet and director Phil Joanou, says,

I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.

It is very NSFW for work so be warned before you watch it.

With the rights to the Punisher franchise having reverted back to Marvel recently, could this signal a return of Frank Castle, the way he should be? Here’s hoping.

Check out the video above and tell me this isn’t the Punisher  you know and love. Even thought it’s ridiculously cheesy, the last shot got me.
