“You Are Welcome and You’re Fired!” WATCH : The #Newsroom Season Finale (The Greater Fool) Preview
We are into the season finale of the first season of Aaron Sorkin‘s The Newsroom. To say that I am fully enjoying this show is a huge understatement. It has done everything well and properly and I am very much eager for Season 2 even though I have to wait until June to see it. We do have one more episode though and based what I we have seen this season and the fact that Sorkin really knows how to put together a season finale (West Wing Season 1 finale anyone?), I am pretty sure we are in for a doozy.
Check out the preview for the next episode above which has been named ‘The Greater Fool’.
Episode Synopsis: Nina Howard (Hope Davis) surprises Mac with a damning revelation; Jim (John Gallagher, Jr.) and Maggie (Alison Pill) reach a crossroad; Sloan weighs a new job offer; Neal uses his internet alter ego to smoke out a threat. Will, Mac and Charlie face off with Leona (Jane Fonda) and Reese (Chris Messina) during a tense lunch meeting.
Written by Aaron Sorkin; directed by Greg Mottola.
The Newsroom airs Sundays at 10pm on HBO.
About the Show
From the mind of Aaron Sorkin, creator of The West Wing and screenwriter of The Social Network and Moneyball, comes The Newsroom, a behind-the-scenes look at the people who make a nightly cable-news program. Focusing on a network anchor (played by Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer), the newsroom staff (John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Olivia Munn, Dev Patel) and their boss (Sam Waterston), the series tracks their quixotic mission to do the news well in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles-not to mention their own personal entanglements.
