So the Oscar season is quickly coming upon us. It’s time where we all get our critic hat and decide who is worthy and who is not.

The lead up to the Academy Awards is filled with other awards that act as indicators.  The first of these awards is the National Board of Review which announced its winners yesterday.

Sony Pictures’ The Social Network kicked a  little ass (and rightfully so) winning Best Film of 2010 with David Fincher winning Best Director, Aaron Sorkin winning Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Actor went to Jesse Eisenberg. NBR President went on to say.

We believe the film portrays a dramatic story that will stand up over time and appeal to many generations

Now before we start popping Champagne for the Facebook guys, it is worthy to note that last year, Up In the Air won the best film honor here and didn’t go on to win the Oscar.

What will happen? Do we have another Wall Street type run here?  Will Aaron Sorkin get the Oscar he rightfully deserves? Is anyone going to care because the hosts will suck?

We will found out in the New Year.
