In one of the most forgone conclusions of the upcoming fall Television line-up, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D was officially picked up by ABC the other day. Hot on the heels of that announcement we now have our first trailer for the show and it is so damn good.
Iron Man 3 is a fun and exciting installment into the ever increasing Marvel Universe of films. Never shying away from its comic book beginnings, it features a funny and explosive plot that starts slowly but builds to a highly satisfying conclusion.
Production has started on the second chapter of the film adventures of Captain America. We already had a glance at some of the concept art for Captain America : The Winter Soldier
There have been rumblings and teasers and hints and all kinds of goodyness being dropped over the last while about Phase II of Marvel’s plans. Following up an epic Phase I that culminated in the magnum opus that is Marvel’s The Avengers is no small task. It seems that the studio is up to the task as we are now getting images and a teaser video of the second phase found in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled Blu-ray box set just released.
Doing some duty to appease the Chinese overlords that approved filming Iron Man 3 in China, Robert Downey Jr. along with veteran Chinese actor and co-star Wang Xuequi, wishes everyone a Happy Chinese New Year.

Yeah to say I am a bit excited about this is a a bit of understatement. Faced with a seriously considerable amount of competition with the highly anticipated sequel to the billion dollar franchise Marvel’s The Avengers, the folks at DC have decided to shoot for the moon in regards to who the villain is for the Justice League movie that has announced to open around the same time.
I honestly thought there would be a build up to this particular because the storyline and the battles around and with him are going to be nothing short of epic. And that isn’t me hyping the hype stuff, if done properly, we will see the biggest collective nerd explosion ever as this character is just that big.

Ladies and Gentleman, I give you Darkseid!
This actually makes quite a bit of sense as with the Justice League you need a pretty huge reason for Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Aquaman and whomever else is showing up to work together. In the cartoon series it was a pretty huge alien invasion (which is where my first guess was), now with the Darkseid, the options are pretty limitless and quite frankly awesome.
