I think this is where I am supposed to say that I am soooo excited for the next chapter in the huge moneymaker that is The Hangover franchise. Problem is that I could care less.

Derek Cianfrance‘s The Place Beyond the Pines just dropped some international character posters featuring its three stars- Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper and Eva Mendes.

Ryan Gosling‘s next film, The Place Beyond the Pines directed by Derek Cianfrance just dropped a whole bunch of high-res images.

They first got together with Michelle Williams for the depressing as hell Blue Valentine and now director Derek Cianfrance and Ryan Gosling are back in the slightly more uplifting The Place Beyond the Pines. Also starring Bradley Cooper, the film now has a trailer and it looks pretty damn great.

I really hated Blue Valentine. It was simply too depressing, however I guess that was point. With The Place Beyond the Pines we have a pretty gritty tale of a father simply trying to do the right thing and from what we are shown in the trailer, we can safely that this Gosling/Cianfrance duo is a good match.

Check the trailer below and see the Gos as inked up, riding motorcycles, robbing banks and being all sensitive.

Focus Features is releasing the film to limited theatres March 29th, 2013.

About The Film Luke (Ryan Gosling) is a professional motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son. But when he crosses paths with a rookie police officer (Bradley Cooper), their violent confrontation spirals into a tense generational feud. The Place Beyond the Pines is a rich dramatic thriller, tracing the intersecting lives of fathers and sons, cops and robbers, heroes and villains.

This is a weird one.

Apparently, Bradley Cooper is in talks to take over the role of  The Crow made famous by Brandon Lee.

Being put together by Relativity Media and producer Edward R. Pressman, The Crow was an adaptation of the James O’ Barr comic book series. This time around, Jaun Carlos Fresnadillo (who directed the very awesome 28 Days Later) is slated to directed.

So far I am in. Good director, good producer, Relativity Media is great making this kinds of movies.

It’s Cooper being the lead that doesn’t sit right.

He is not suited for the role at all, I don’t care how much makeup is involved. Please understand, I am a huge fan of Cooper’s.  He has done a great job building his career to this point. He takes this role, it will be three giant steps back.

However he is only talks, so here is hoping.

Here it is.

My reviews of the Lincoln Lawyer, Limitless and Hanna.

Bit of an experiment this time around by doing three reviews in one video.

Did it work?
