Production has started on the second chapter of the film adventures of Captain America. We already had a glance at some of the concept art for Captain America : The Winter Soldier
There have been rumblings and teasers and hints and all kinds of goodyness being dropped over the last while about Phase II of Marvel’s plans. Following up an epic Phase I that culminated in the magnum opus that is Marvel’s The Avengers is no small task. It seems that the studio is up to the task as we are now getting images and a teaser video of the second phase found in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled Blu-ray box set just released.
During Comic-Con, a new trailer for the upcoming game Marvel Heroes was dropped and man it is awesome.
The premise is simple enough, players become their favorite Marvel Super Heroes. Simple and incredibly huge as the all new Multiplayer Game will draw from the massive 8,000-plus heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe.
The list of playable characters (to name a few) are Black Widow, Cable, Captain America, Colossus, Cyclops, Deadpool, Emma Frost, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Storm, The Thing, Thor, and Wolverine.
Written by Brian Michael Bendis, author of “Ultimate Spider-Man,” “New Avengers,” “Secret Invasion” and countless other successes, Marvel Heroes is inspired by some of the most popular stories in Marvel Comics history.
Check out the trailer below. With the release date still TBA, this is shaping up to be a pretty epic game.

With the brilliant success of The Avengers and all of the lead-up movies to it, during its panel for Iron Man 3 at Comic-Con Marvel released details and logos for the next phase movies that will inevitably lead up to The Avengers 2 and a possible battle with Thanos (or the beginnings of one because that is a pretty epic story.
So the next phase will obviously include Iron Man 3 as that is the next Marvel movie coming out with Ben Kingsley being the ultimate Iron Man baddie, the Mandarin and Guy Pearce as the scientist Aldrich Killian responsible for creating the nanobots that will be at the centre of the Extremis storyline (which is the basis of this big screen chapter of Iron Man).
While we are not sure of the order of the other movies, we now know the titles of them. The Guardians of the Galaxy movie has been announced. I would imagine this atypical storyline is being greenlit as it fits with the Thanos storyline and will be part of the puzzle leading to The Avengers 2 and will be released August 1 2014. We also have confirmation on the title of the Captain America sequel being Captain America : The Winter Soldier and the Thor sequel being Thor : The Dark World.
While the Thor sequel has very little details as to which way the story will go, the Cap sequel title should make a lot of the fanboys and comic-nerds happy as it pretty sums up where the story will go We should see the story had back to World War II where we will learn the truth about Cap’s sidekick Bucky. I would imagine that we then end up back to the present day in which the seemingly dead soldier is revived as a personality that isn’t exactly friendly to Cap. It is a very famous storyline and one that is integral to the Captain America canon so it’s great to see that is the direction that the studio is heading.
We also are getting the title treatment to Ant-Man which is now in the very capable hands of Edgar Wright. During the Marvel panel, some test footage was tested and very well received. From all indications, they are going a different route with this superhero franchise and so far all indications point to a very fun and special movie.
More as details as are announced. In the meantime, check out the titles below:

Yeah..easily the best scene the Hulk was in for the Avengers. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, well you will appreciate this all the more once you do see it.
What makes it gold is when he pauses and looks at Loki and then continues.
Enjoy…

As if there wasn’t enough reasons to catch Marvel’s The Avengers, turns out the director and uber-nerd Joss Whedon dropped a very quick and pretty awesome nerd nugget in it for his long time fans. While there hasn’t been a visual confirmation yet, the interwebs have been lighting up with sightings of the Serenity, the Firefly class ship Captained by Malcolm ‘Mal’ Reynolds from the short-lived but still very awesome show Firefly during the highest-grossing opening weekend movie.
Fans are reporting to have spotted the ship, Serenity, in a scene where someone holds something up to Hawkeye. Word is that you can see Serenity in the background, momentarily. It’s really, really quick. Quite literally, if you blink you will miss it.
This wouldn’t be the first time Joss Whedon has worked a Firefly Easter Egg into one of his movies. During the Whedon written and produced Cabin in the Woods, released earlier this year, there was a momentary shot of a smallish Reaver, the villains of the Firefly movie Serenity.
Nicely done sir. Nicely done.
