The recent Christmas special for the cult classic Doctor Who threw down the gauntlet. A drastic shift in storytelling has propelled the good Doctor in a whole different direction with a new companion and a host of new questions.
New Tardis, new companion and now it looks like we have a new opening theme for Doctor Who. I imagine I will eventually dig it, however I I like the one that they just finished using the best.
Hot on the heels of a very highly rated and extremely well-received Christmas Special
The Graham Norton Show recently showed us a clip from the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas Special The Snowmen and it’s no big. Just the Doctor meeting his companion for the first time.
The clip is also quite hilarious and perfectly embodies why I love the Doctor and his band of motley characters.
Check it out below.
The Doctor Who Christmas Special The Snowmen airs Decemember 25th and you bet your ass that I will be there watching it.
About the Christmas Special Christmas Eve 1892 and the falling snow is the stuff of fairy-tales. When the fairy-tale becomes a nightmare and a chilling menace threatens Earth, an unorthodox young governess, Clara, calls on the Doctor for help. But the Doctor is in mourning, reclusive and determined not to engage in the problems of the universe. As old friends return, will the Doctor really abandon humankind or will he fight to save the world – and Christmas – from the icy clutches of this mysterious menace.

The hits keep coming as Christmas Day draws closer and closer. The good folks at the BBC are now in overdrive with their marketing as we have seen a pretty awesome trailer, some images, prequel video, a poster for the 2012 Doctor Who Christmas Special The Snowmen. We also got a glimpse of the hinted about new interior of the TARDIS the recently dropped new TV Spot for the Special airing Christmas Day.
And I for one am a very happy camper for all of it.
If you read this site, you know that level of fandom that I have for Doctor Who in his recent form thanks to Steven Moffatt and Matt Smith. So I will definitely be watching this regardless. The cherry on the very nerd-filled cake is that we will be officially introduced to Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new companion Clara after her surprise appearance in the first episode of this series.

Yeah, like you really needed that.
Check out them out below and you’re damn straight I will be watching this on Christmas Day.
