Wreck-It Ralph from director Rich Moore and stars John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, was easily one of the best animated movies of the past few years. Half way through, I remember getting the same feeling I had when I saw the first Toy Story.
This one is for all you Skrillex fans, (and I know there are a ton of you out there). His song ‘Bug Hunt’ which he did for Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph was featured in a recent viral video hyping the ‘Hero’s Duty’ video game that Ralph tries to win at.
I dig it….
What say you?

About The Film Wreck-It Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) longs to be as beloved as his game’s perfect Good Guy, Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer). Problem is, nobody loves a Bad Guy. But they do love heroes… so when a modern, first-person shooter game arrives featuring tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch), Ralph sees it as his ticket to heroism and happiness. He sneaks into the game with a simple plan—win a medal—but soon wrecks everything, and accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens every game in the arcade. Ralph’s only hope? Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman), a young troublemaking “glitch” from a candy-coated cart racing game who might just be the one to teach Ralph what it means to be a Good Guy. But will he realize he is good enough to become a hero before it’s “Game Over” for the entire arcade?
Rich Moore (who has helmed episodes of “Futurama” and “The Simpsons“) is directing Wreck-It Ralph, the story of an 8-bit video game character struggling with his own villainous identity with the world of arcade games. John C. Reilly voices the titular character who tries to be a hero, but ends up unleashing a deadly enemy who just might destroy every game in the arcade. Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynchand Sarah Silverman all lend their voices to the film which is slated to hit theaters on November 2nd in 3D.

The basic premise of Disney‘s upcoming movie Wreck-It Ralph is that the title character gets tired of being the bad guy and decides to become a hero by being part of another video game. Along the way to the game he wants to win at, he passes through a couple of other games.
To get in the mood for the movie, we now have some trailers for those individual games. It’s a neat marketing idea and quite frankly worked because I actually miss when I would go to an arcade to play games after watching the first two.

The thing I really like about Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph is that it is an original and fresh story that plays the nostalgia card very well. The trailers and posters and such have done a great job framing and teasing what we are about to see and so far everything is looking pretty damn fun.
Up next, we have this fantastic featurette that takes us behind the scenes in the making of the movie. It has a ton of great interviews of the cast as well as some new footage.

Disney has a done a great job of building up Wreck-It-Ralph. From teasing the nostalgia through some cool trailers to giving us a sense of each character via some great posters, now we are getting a fantastic international trailer that really has me on board whole-heartedly. This looks like it is going to be a fantastic movie and I am very much looking forward to it.
And of course, Xavierpop will have your passes to check out a special Advanced Showing of the movie so stay tuned.

I am very excited to see Disney‘s upcoming Wreck-It-Ralph. People who I trust and that have seen it say that it is something special. Based on Disney’s track record and the creative team behind it led by the crazy talented Rich Moore, this does not surprise me at all and in fact ramps up my interest that much more.
Check out these international posters of Wreck-It-Ralph which opens November 2nd in 3D. They’re fun and playful and I dig that both. (And don’t forget to click on them to make them all big and stuff).
